I first met Julie sometime around 2008 when I walked boldly into a hair salon and asked the poor girl to perform some kind of miracle on my wild, wavy hair. And she did. I was a loyal client of hers to this very day and have always enjoyed chatting about boyfriends and dogs with her through the several hours it took to put foils in my unruly hair. You could tell how much she loved Josh, even in the beginning, by how much she smiled when she spoke of him and sure enough it didn’t take long until they started crossing off the big relationship milestones in their lives. Before I knew it, Julie had also become my client too, when they met me over coffee and asked me to photograph one of the best days of their lives. I was elated!
Their wedding day was absolutely beautiful. There were moments when I completely forgot that we were in the month of October, considering how warm and sunny it was!
The deep maroon bridesmaids dresses and hints of colour in the décor went together swimmingly with the grey suits the groomsmen wore. Julie’s dress, which she got from the legendary Kleinfelds Bridal, was spectacular and suited her so well. And I will never forget the views over North Pelham that we all shared as Josh and Julie became husband and wife at Lookout point, nor the amazing food and hospitality of John Michaels where they held their reception.
Thank you both so much for the honour of being part of your wedding day!
