lindsey & joseph, engaged!

Happy Friday!

I am sure by now many people are aware of the idea that every person is about six or less social connections away from one another, ergo the theory known as six degrees of separation. With billions of people in the world, I’m not entirely sure it’s been proven or disproven, but when it comes to my clients, I often find myself saying “what a small world” a lot!

It was the same thing when I connected with Lindsey and Joseph earlier this year over an online video chat. I had photographed Joe as a groomsman in another wedding party from a few years ago, while Lindsey went to school with my husband. With the world changing so much with COVID this past year and a half, it’s been so much more special to connect with people and hear more about their lives, even when being face to face isn’t possible. And to finally getting to meet this beautiful couple in person this summer for their engagement photos was so wonderful and refreshing from the hours spent behind a computer screen communicating with one another.

The weather wasn’t the most cooperative for us, but after a few rescheduled rain days we were able to meet up at the Niagara Botanical Gardens for an evening engagement session. It is quite apparent in their photos how much love there is between them and I enjoyed capturing its essence in their images.

Since then, the anticipation has been building for their wedding day and it has felt like time has flown over the summer to finally get to this weekend. Tomorrow, they will be wed and I’m so excited to get to be a part of their big day!  Stay tuned for a few sneak peeks this weekend up on my social media. Until then, here are my favourite images from their summer engagement session in Niagara Falls!
