It was a beautiful, warm, end of summer weekend when Melissa and Brendan tied the knot!
In the morning I met up with the girls at the house where Melissa grew up. There was a sense of excitement in the air as hair and makeup was being done to perfection by the talented hair and makeup artists. Many laughs and moments were shared, as the preparation was on it’s way. Melissa’s dress was stunning and her choice of colours really helped set the scene for their gorgeous wedding.
I then met with the guys before the ceremony at New Hope Church in St Catharines and snapped some photos of Brendan, his groomsmen and family. Everyone’s attire was perfectly coordinated and looked so great against the lush green backdrops.
The ceremony was held in a gorgeous white tent and filled right to the back as Melissa walked down the aisle to meet her husband to be! They were married mid afternoon surrounded by all their friends and family.
After the glowing couple made their exit, we joined their immediate family for some family photos. New Hope Church has a beautiful, treed grounds that we were able to use for the backdrop.
As soon as the formals were photographed, myself and the wedding party traveled off site to Decew Falls, a personal favourite spot of mine that boasts some pretty amazing scenery. We started with all of the girls and guys, then took some time with Melissa and Brendan to capture some portraits of the happy newlyweds!
By the time we arrived back at New Hope, the tent was arranged into a gorgeous reception space complete with navy blue tables with sparkling gold table runners. It was definitely a treat for the eyes. Once all of the introductions were made, the lovely couple transitioned into their first dance as husband and wife, kicking off the rest of the reception on a wonderful note. Isn’t the head table awesome!?
I would like to thank both Mel and Brendan for sharing such a special time in their lives with me and allowing me to capture the amazing moments they shared with their loved ones.
Congratulations again!
