Heather and I have known each other for a long time, way back from our days in high school when we rode the bus together. It wasn’t just a bus either, we were on the one that went out to the boonies that was way longer than the other kid’s rides home from school because we lived out in the country. Since those days have long passed, I have always have remembered her as a kind and compassionate person. Needless to say, when her and Sagar asked me to be their photographer, I was absolutely honoured and excited to capture such a wonderful couple’s special day.
We met in Ball’s Falls in October to do their engagement session. I could tell the moment I saw them how much love there was between the two and was eager to get them in front of my lens. You can view the link to their engagement session here. The way he makes Heather smile is just so sweet! I always encourage couples to get engagement photos done, as it gives us time to get to know one another, help you know what to expect and also gets you more comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day. Plus, it was super fun!
In contrast to their cool, fall portraits, their wedding day was on what felt like one of the hottest days in May. The weather was absolutely beautiful and set the perfect scene for their wedding day.
The girls prepared for the nuptials at Heather’s parents gorgeous country home while Sagar and his groomsmen eagerly started the day at their own home in Fenwick. It was so personal and special for the couple to be at home where the bride grew up.
Once the bows were tied and bouquets were in hand, the limo arrived to bring Heather, her girls and her parents to the Pelham Community Church to tie the knot! Heather walked down the aisle to her future hubby in the newly renovated church which had been decorated in the most beautiful floral arrangements. The vows were said, rings exchanged and sealed with a kiss before the happy newlyweds were off for family photos.
The reception was at Lipa Park, where Heather and Sagar dined amongst all of their friends and family.
There were many great laughs during the speeches from their wedding party, followed by their first dance as husband and wife. Once all of the formal events were through though, their M.C kicked off the party by busting out his dancing shorts and tying his tie around his head while signalling everyone out and onto the dancefloor.
Here are some of the memories from Sagar and Heather’s big day. I had so much fun spending the day with them and witnessing the love they share for one another. I was even lucky enough to get to see some friendly faces, too!
Congratulations again to the amazing couple and best wishes for their future together.
